as previously stated in one of the threads i stubled upon in the general questions, concerns about why not make the projects and repository's domain name as forge instead of developer.joomla.org my suggestion to which is to have joomlaforge.net (or com, or org) to be a domain name redirect  to developer.joomla.org instead. what do oyu think? (or was this concern already been discussed in other threads?)

^^had made a quick check (whois) of the domain name,.. now i just wonder if it is the joomla core team who got this or its somebody else. hence, using a traditional or customary practice of calling it(or dubbed in the domain name) ******forge will greatly steer out from user's confusion.

Not wishing to burst anyone bubble or create confusion, but the core team considered purchasing that domain, but we decided against it. The main reason is that we wanted all official sites to be 'based' on the joomla.org domain.

So as a result the only official URL we will support and advertise for the 'forge' is http://developer.joomla.org
The core dev team does not have control over joomlaforge, so use at your own risk.

Hope you all understand.
