I think it's a good start.  I think the site is a bit busy.  I know you are probably trying to make some money to pay for the bills to host the site, but for a non-proft, there are way too many ads.

I think the menu structure could be cleaned up as well.  Currently, it is disjointed, but I think it can be better organized.
