The title is saying everything.

I went in extention and there are no polls anymore. What is the matter?

The poll is displayed at your site by some module. A module is assigned to some module position that is defined in your template.

Did you unpublish your module (back-end > Modules > Site Modules) or did you select another template (where the module position, used by the poll is not defined?), or did you assign the module to certain pages that you did not check? (back-end > Modules > Site Modules > the poll module, the settings on the right under display).

Where are the poll components on this web site? When I look in the section Extention there I can not anymore find the poll components. What is the matter with them?

The polls were removed / unpublished from the extensions site for security reasons. You can read more about it at http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,79477.0.html and http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,296.0.html.

I was looking for pollXT and there is written:
Full Name:    PollXT
Short Name:  com_pollxt
Version:          <= 1.22.07
Fix:                  Upgrade to version 1.22.08.  Download it here.

Why then is pollXT fron the extention directory deleted?

About a month ago we finally unpublished the extensions that had not been claimed by the original developer.

That was done to ensure that the users of the Extensions Directory would have the best possible updated info about the extensions listed. Every single extension is now owned and maintained by the developer of the extension. 

Among these unpublished extensions was PollXT.
