Re: Discuss: Re-introducing Andrew Eddie Lead Developer
Well I think this is just terrible news; now development will continue on to a rocket pace and we poor users/developers will have to do all we can to keep up!! Of COURSE I'm kidding!! Great to see you back and especially in the dev role where we need you. Thanks for all your past a...

Re: printmojo component
So I guess he's deciding whether or not to be GPL compliant?

In all seriousness, I would also encourage you to release this; I would be glad to make buttons for you if you like. Nice job, and it prompted me to sign up with PrintMojo, so it would be nice to have this.

Re: Discuss: Joomla! 1.0.13 Released
I fully agree with toubkal. I allways wait at least a week before I start updating production sites. As soon as an update is launched I update my testsite (on which several components run which have caused me problems with earlier updates), than I follow the forum threads about update issues. With ...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! 1.0.13 Released
Further, we could not anticipate that some of the bridge developers would just walk away and give up on the Joomla! community. It is really unfortunate that has happened because in the end, everyone loses. Joomla! loses, the community loses, the bridge builders lose. I think rathe...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! 1.0.13 Released
Ok, the .13 update kills all bridges and other login systems because of the new loginsystem. So far, so bad. But, when the release does "Several low-risk security fixes" isn't it possible, that you post these fixes? People could patch their .12 Sites and they would still work. I agree, could the lo...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! 1.0.13 Released
Please. There are enough threads on this board dedicated to misinformation and misrepresentation (from *ALL* sides) on the 'GPL issue'...no need to dredge that up here. But I will say that I wouldn't update to .13 even if a free car came with it. I'm kind of disappointed that the mainten...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! 1.0.13 Released
Two quick observations: ⋅ This maintenance release will break VirtueMart login functionality - as Joomla! 1.0.8, 1.0.10 and 1.0.11 have done before. There is a hotfix available at http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=257&Itemid=57 . Since this update ...

RESOURCE: User Group Access levels explained in simple terms!
Forward: I've never been able to locate a "Plain Talk" version of how Joomla's access groups work, so I thought I'd attempt to create one myself. I created this in the process of doing training documentation for a client. I hope this helps out those of you who have had a hard time findi...

Is it possible to get an RSS or XML feed of new projects a la the developer front page? I know I'm constantly looking at what's new and it would be nice to incorporate this as a feature if it isn't already available.

The hope being that the majority of peoples requirements will be met by what has been produced And so they will, I am sure. Until you decide on the tagline. Then we'll be back here arguing. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I was under the impression that the whole purpose of the Joomla! logo (...

My favorite, featuring the new logo. (Too bad I don't have the same font...close as I could come)

I'm happy with this, it's simple...rolls off the tongue easy...keeps the core mission in mind.

I was looking for a more private way to notify you of this, but there's an ironic error in your news submissions page: * At this stage we only accept submissions in English. Dont worry if English is not your first language as we will correct any grammtical and spelling errors before publishing. "Gra...
