Re: What happened to the forum today???

first impression: argh - i liked SMF much better. second impression: well its not too bad. enhancement in some things third impression: must have been a hell lot of work to migrate all that and there is a long way to go design and function wise to make it look as good as SMF. SMF was just so simple ...

Trick: More than 50 module positions [Jooma! 1.0.x]

This topic has come up quite a few times and can be solved so easily as it seems: One solution to add positions directly to the database via phpmyadmin would work but cannot be administrated through backend: see this thread for reference: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,24471.0.html another ...

so what about some rss delivering solution for updated items list to my thunderbird? i have mentioned that about half a year ago and mods told me would be implemented with some major changes on the extension directory soon. well if "soon" is not wihtin the next half year, then what is "late"?? don't...

Re: Confusion on Recently Updated Extensions

It would be really helpful to see why the listing appears in updated list. For example on gallery.menalto.com when changing the wiki pages you can enter a reason or comment to the change and select whether it is minor or major update. This would be helpful indeed. btw: ext directory changes for rece...

Re: Extensions and PHP5/MySQL5

would be really helpful indeed to have an extra field showing compatibility to php and mysql versions apart from compatibility to joomla 1.0.x and joomla 1.5. awws the issue will come up more frequently within the next year and not all people will abandon jomla 1.0.x series as soon as that..

The extension site has an rss feed which will inform u of all new extensions. YOu could also go to joomlafeed.com and subscribe to their feeds as they also mirror the extension directory feed. If you choose to get the feed via email do it via http://www.feedblitz.com/ . updated extensions are not fe...

Re: Suggestion - Watch/Monitor option

well- to have this versioning in your admin panel would of course require all extenion devs to integrate versioning system which many won't be doing. At least we now have the recently updated list. If that list would finally have its rss feed i would be more than happy! Although subscribing to a sin...

Re: Recently updated extensions

On heavy development days and weekends one has to view the recently updated list twice a day to stay up to date on the extensions one uses or intends to use once they would pass a certain point of maturity. If there is no rss feed how about at least showing the latest say 50 updates so one can brows...

Hi again.... So what about that RSS FEED?!? Re: OpenSEF not available at http://extensions.joomla.org/ ?

I was really amazed after reading this thread. @kenmcd: what made u so bitter man? reviews? come on! look at it from a distance. it is ridiculous to take those reviews all serious. if there are enough reviews, which of course requires the extensions to be listed (!!!) there will be an equilibrium.
