Re: Discuss: Ladies and Gentlemen... here
Huge achievement, team. Thanks for your dedication and hard work. I can't wait to start messing with this stable version and see how my 1.0.x extensions will grow in this direction.

Re: Discuss: Austin ... the Joomla! has Landed
Wow, quite an accomplishment! I'll be interested to see how existing 1.0.x extensions work with 1.5. BTW, there are a few typos in the announcement... Congrats to the dev team, this is quite a leap for the project helping us get away from our $ambo roots and onto bigger and brighter things. Thanks a...

Re: Discuss about : 2007 Summit Success
How can we thank David, Rey and Emir enough for their work getting us this far? In particular, I think that Rey deserves a LOT of credit for the millions of hours he has spent debugging this code that we take for granted. I remember looking through changelogs and continuing to be amazed with every r...

Re: migration question - can we still view the old forge?
darn. I guess I shouldn't have moved all my migrated tracker info already.
Oh well......thanks for the info. Besides the mailing lists, I believe the new forge to be running very smoothly. Thanks to everyone for their hard work!

Re: migration question - can we still view the old forge?
that's right, for gigCalendar. I'm reviewing the list and realizing that many of these tracker items have been addressed and were likely closed. If I can't review the old info in a browser I'm not interested, though. Too much time to figure out all the details of a huge database dump. I can probably...

migration question - can we still view the old forge?
The tracker migration worked well - thanks!
All the tracker moves have placed my tracker items as "Open". I'd like to review my old JForge project site and figure out which ones we had closed. Is this possible?

Re: an old Q&A document I found
Yep, that rings a few bells. I was looking through some old text I had saved on my machine and came across it. I am hoping that it can still be used in this new FAQ section - I guess we should check with Peter before doing so..... This looks to me like some text created by Peter Russell (mediamagnat...

an old Q&A document I found
I think that this attached document was a project I was working on with some other folks in an unofficial PR group for Joomla. I don't think that this text ever hit the surface so I post it here for your use. Good work with the new FAQ section!

I notice there is a handy feature for those of us who used the tracker on the J!Forge site to export all information. The million dollar question is............can you input this somehow in the new GForge?

Good enuf for me, Amy. Thanks for the apology. I'm sure this will go a long way to mend fences. Bottom line for me is that inflamatory big-business terms like collusion and anti-trust have little place on these forums. We're all in it for the common good, this is the spirit of open-source that you h...

Re: approval and removal of extensions
^^ Maybe we should have some sort of extension test team to test for functionality and check to make sure that its not full of security holes. That is essentially what is happening. We have the entire Joomla userbase as a test group helping us watch all of the published extensions. Feel free to use...

Re: approval and removal of extensions
The Editorial Team cannot test each extension. We rely on users to post reviews or report issues with the extensions which we review. If an extension is clearly a security risk we generally unpublish the listing and contact the developers. Since there have recently been many hacks of joomla websites...

Re: What happened to Performs?
Many congrats to ot2sen for finishing this long project. The original extensions directory was created from a master list that kenmcd and guilliam later maintained. We have given the developers plenty of time and notice to claim the extension. The reasons for removing them from the directory include...

CB is obviously a very powerful extension that greatly expands the capabilities of Joomla. We rely on the 3PD community to create these type of directories as they are likely to provide...

The Community Builder website is the correct place to list compatibility for this, not the official Joomla! Extensions Directory. So far, it seems they are doing a good job of listing their plugins (look in the "(OLD) CB 1.0 RC2" category): ⋅ http://www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com...
