It's also against the rules at Cafepress to use copyrighted images in your merchandise. So, Cafepress will not let you make unofficial Joomla! merchandise using the Joomla! logo. And of course the symbol is protected along with the word, I can't understand why you're even wanting to setup your own J...

Re: Joomla shop
The shop won't happen over night, but it will happen!. You're selling shampoo as well? Seriously though, what I'd really like to see in an official Joomla! shop would be an official CD with a manual and collected resources. I realise that'd be a way down the track but it'd be a great way for users ...

Re: Discussion about : Nominate Your Favorite CMS
Just noticed this and added it to the topic on #joomla I'd say it's a sure thing Joomla will be nominated, and I'm pretty confident that Joomla will take out the 1st prize The reason for nomination I entered: "Well supported, easy to use and develop, with strong core development and a promisin...

Wow
This is going to make is so very much easier to tell people where to go on the #joomla channel.
I mean, tell them where to go to find extensions!
Excellent work guys, I think this extensions site will really add to the growth in the community!

Re: Discussion about: We need your Joomla! badges
Yeah, but this thread is for the creation of graphical buttons people can use in their pages that conform with standard button designs used on blogs etc. As the button must include the Joomla! logo, a pure css button would be slightly pointless. Distributing bits of html and css for use as buttons i...

Re: The Joomla! Logo & Brand Manual
Whoaa there ... I haven't implied that anyone has deliberately breached the new branding guidelines and I'm not looking to turn a minor issue into something major. Eh, sorry about that, didn't get enough sleep last night and ability to read entire posts and comprehend them was somewhat impaired On ...

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! Brand Guide & Logo Usage Released
Yeah, I suppose it would protect the Joomla! logo from things like this Miro logo that was on the Lone Mamber's site: http://tinypic.com/aneosw.png Not that I think this project could ever fall into the same hole as Miro and have such pranksters making parody logo's like that, but there is definitel...

Re: Discussion about: We need your Joomla! badges
Here's my small contribution, pun intended http://www.inspired-digital.net/buttons.png I've followed the button standards as much as possible, and I created a simple pixel font similar to the real thing, and it even has a tiny tiny TM in there Just a quick shot at it, I'll have a look around and com...

Re: The Joomla! Logo & Brand Manual
The logo branding guidelines were only released yesterday, mere hours ago in fact. That template was released after the logo was announced. There is a difference between the logo being announced and ppl taking the initiative to make use of it, and implying that people are deliberately breaching bran...

Any plans for a Joomla! booth there? It seems like a good idea.

MMMM Vintage 2005 whine... my favorite... Ok, I think we have come too far since the split to allow something like this announcement which should have been a celebration to cause a split in the community. The manual is well written and well presented, but as some members of the community have point...

Re: Background information?
I did have some thought behind the logo. I wanted to start with the letter "J" (obviously because joomla starts with a "J") and found that creating four "J"s and rotating the "J"s in 45 degree increments fit together like a puzzle. This also gives the impression of chain links intertwined tog...

Wow, I really have to check the forums and the joomla! site more often
Congrats Nic, sounds like you're in a very good position to be handling this vital core role. Accessibility is a huge issue and one that someone with your background is sure to create a solid focus on it in the core.
Good stuff
