Systematic efforts to keep J! Reactions under four stars
I have been monitoring this behavior (quietly) for approximately 2 to 3 months. Yesterday I was able to predict what I found today, so I am certain that someone is playing games. The process has been fairly easy, because J! Reactions typically receives only one or two ratings in a week. Since it was...

Re: joomla-org clone site
Got it--thanks.
@General
For the record: J! REACTIONS IS NOT 1.5 READY. Any listing outside the developer site or the JED is unauthorized (and probably technically false).

joomla-org clone site
Does anyone know who is running this spin-off site:
<--mod note ot2sen: Link removed to advertising site for extensions that couldnt be listed in Joomla! Extensions Directory ->
It contains irresponsible and false information.

Re: Sensitive review claims need to be confirmed with developer
Your interpretation of "source code" is going to bring you some trouble I also write Windows applications. The "source code" is compiled for use under the Windows operating system. J! Reactions is PHP script code, similarly written for its intended platform. The fact that I don't compile it (w...

Re: Sensitive review claims need to be confirmed with developer
You know, I was hoping that someone like otsen would answer or assist me with correcting the review error Since, neither of you are JED mods nor the person who wrote the review, why don't you mind your own business. I will still need to create a derivative work of it for my clientbase in order...

Re: Sensitive review claims need to be confirmed with developer
The "Free" designation is most certainly correct for the Free Edition of J! Reactions, lol. There are only 4 or 5 options for developers.
But really, this has nothing to do with the review error.

Sensitive review claims need to be confirmed with developer
I am posting here, because each time I have used the 'Report' or 'Reply' feature at the JED, I am always ignored. No email, no update, nothing. User leetorrens submitted a review for J! Reactions that needs to be revised for an important factual error. It is explanied in the J! Reactions FAQ--by way...

Yes, most of us know what a histogram is
I believe ot2sen has already acknowledged your idea.

Re: Would like an histogram of votes
I said small data sets , not number of bars. You said a histogram would be useful when there are fewer than 5 votes registered: Moreover it 's seems that below a threshold number of voting the "stars" are not displayed. The histogramm would be the occasion to see them. I think you are confused becau...

Re: Would like an histogram of votes
Good topic! However, histograms are not very practical with small data sets (so I don't get why you want a histogram when there are fewer than 5 votes). Another approach, which is technically easier to implement, is to display the MEDIAN vote. I'm not suggesting that you present only the median; rat...

Re: J!Reactions review mistake.
I saw the original review on 15 Jan (which refers to J! Reactions as 'bunk') and was forced to submit a detailed response because I was 100% certain that the review was baseless. Now I find this message! It is now 23 Jan and the review/rating is still hanging without my refutation. Come on, mods. Yo...

Re: Right review.. wrong product.
Providing caveat emptor regarding the licencing for an otherwise good product is still a review. "Caveat emptor" implies that some critical information is being withheld from users, which is false and could be intepreted as slander (depending on how you represent yourself). Or, are you merely compl...

Duplicate Reviews
Please see reviews for Communications : Comments : J! Reactions I've seen this situation a few times before, and you can see it there. Is it really possible for users to submit twin reviews? Is it user/submission error, moderator error, or is it merely an output error? Nonetheless, as much I like to...

Re: Three Questions
Vimes, you were so quick to jump into this thread and ask a question, so why not take the time to follow up on it? Let's just consider my third request a moot point; nothing more needs to be done. I will remove my listing, but I need some help because the delete function is failing. I also sent a no...

Re: Three Questions
The extensions directory already uses the term "Free License" in a more confusing context: it is paired (slashed) with the express "Other Open Source," as though the two terms were interchangeable. A software license governs use . The software is not open source; but it is free to use under the term...

Three Questions
Question 1. Why do you (the extension directory mods) continue to publish user questions as review entries? I have transcripts from moderators assuring me months ago that you both desired and needed to stop publishing comments that were not reviews. I am confused. Is the review site now to function ...

Re: Suggestion: Update notification
I completely agree here. I also saw that earlier message and was tempted to refresh the idea but was too lazy.
An update to an existing extension is just as important or interesting as the introduction of a new extension.
Let's have a "Latest Updates" category
