Re: Discuss about : 2007 Summit Success

Good luck and Best Wishes guys!  It's a long time since our first conversation Emir (if I remember it was along the lines of "this new fangled SEF function in 4.5 has broken my site"  ) and, Rey, what can I say - I feel I have known you forever . I hope the future treats you well and that ...

Re: What happened to Performs?

Hopefully perForms will have an update soon as there are known vulnerabilities. The kl_ scripts are still under active development, however the developer (konlong - John Long) did not provide the listing for the extensions site and the link goes to a very old forum post on mamboserver. I suggest his...

Re: Discussion about : Andrew Eddie Says Goodbye but not Farewell

I respect that Mitch. However, it is hard to just assume everything is in order when the announcement only said you had left. All I wanted was reassurance that all the laws relating to OSM were being upheld.  Brian left before a replacement director was appointed, I have been informed, and in t...

Thanks Johan. I am relieved to know that all is in hand and that the directors did not just leave without appointing replacements. I didnt want to see all that hard work in setting up OSM come unravelled.

Re: Discussion about : Andrew Eddie Says Goodbye but not Farewell

Andrew, Mitch, Arno, thanks for the good work you did. Good luck in your future endeavours. Johan, please update us all as soon as you can about the status of OSM. There has not been any announcement of a director having been appointed to replace Brian, which left OSM in breach of its charter under ...

Re: Joomla trademark

Thanks mixed - I was hoping that this was the case. I've been watching and waiting to see what happened about the mark you registered, but...

Excuse me Andrew - what speculation? I asked two questions only, and received response from two core team members, one of whom is a director of OSM. Re: Joomla trademark

Blast! I was hoping you were NOT going to say that! The owner is a lawyer and his site uses Joomla, so I was hoping he was doing this on behalf of OSM. The implications are not good otherwise.  I am not sure how enforceable this "global computer network" inclusion is as trademarks are on a per ...

Can anyone from the incorporation tell me if the registering of the Joomla trademark (Trade Mark : 1073509) in Australia is being done on behalf of OSM please?  If so, what are the plans for allowing any of us to use the word on our sites when we are promoting our work?  The trademark ends...

Re: Is there going to be an Announcement Discussion?

Great news Brian.  A suggestion: perhaps you could make a note in the announcement that people need to remember that fundraising is on ongoing thing now - just for those who might not be able to donate now, but could sometime in the future.  Don't want people to think there is just a short...

Re: Is there going to be an Announcement Discussion?

SUGGESTION: Only developers should add extensions

First off, let me say I think the Extensions site is fantastic - well done guys! However, it occurred to me that there could be problems with it. I note, for example, that some extensions have been added without the knowledge of the developer who wrote them.  If the dev doesn't know they are th...

Try it de You are correct, the setting in the configuration.php does not (or should not) contain any trailing slash. Some people have experienced problems with having links to .css and other urls showing a double forwardslash // in their code.
