so maybe the Joomla team  could release a  TRUE GPL version of Joomla *without the proprietary logo*. Maybe release  joomla without the default favicon and using the old admin template. Because if Joomla is GPL then that must include the logo too.

Is this logo going to be distributed with Joomla itself? Because the license conditions just seem to be entirely wrong in that case.
