Calvary Baptist Church of West Hills California. It's pretty basic, but it's a work in progress.

The first ever GodBlogCon http://www.godblogcon.com/ is happening the 13th, 14th, and 15th on the campus of Biola University in LaMirada, California, USA (just minutes from Disneyland). Re: Discussion about: Joomla! Brand Guide & Logo Usage Released
the pngs don't seem to scale well in Macromedia products; they get bitty. Is there a way to make a vector png that will work with MM, eg, FireWorks? Also, for those that don't use a graphics programs, could perhaps some official jpgs and gifs be reposited somewhere? wr FYI, The PNGs were created in...

Re: Discussion about: We need your Joomla! badges
You guys continue to amaze me!! Well done! How I love this community. I also have to say, "BADGES!? We don't need no stinking Badges!" (it's a famous quote from the movie "Blazing Saddles") Sorry. It was bursting out of me. Also, please don't use "Get Joomla" or "Got Joomla" on the official ba...

about Joomla! New Logo EPS files first .. thanks for a great work. and, are these files formats by "illustrator CS" (version 11)? ..maybe.. I couldn't open Logo files because my Illustrator is 9.0.(or is there a problem in my software?) So, I think "Illustrator 9" format better than it. for m...

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! Brand Guide & Logo Usage Released
I just noticed something....
That's the second time you said that in this thread...
Open Source Matters is a Foundation? When did that happen?
So, do you know something the rest of us do not or are you speculating?

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! Brand Guide & Logo Usage Released
The books says the logo is not copyright free. OK, but, who owns the copyright? What is the proper citation? What kind of copyright is it? Logos and slogans aren't copyrighted, their trademarked. The Open Source Matters Foundation owns the trademark (or, to probably be more accurate, the OSMF has a...

2 Things:
The books says the logo is not copyright free. OK, but, who owns the copyright? What is the proper citation? What kind of copyright is it?
The outside space requirement is too high. For example, the Joomla website itself is out of compliance. Yet it looks fine.

A truly Stupid Question
I can find no where else to ask this - and if it doesn't get answered I won't loose any sleep, but curious minds want to know: Why "Developer" instead of "Forge"? I mean there is sourceforge (the #1 site for open source software) and there is mamboforge (it's an older cms that used to be popular - y...

Re: Mambo for companies and Joomla for Non-profit organisations ?
Yes, in a sense, you will choose between Mambo and Joomla! or between Joomla! and some other way to create a web site. We here have chosen to use and support Joomla!. Both Mambo and Joomla! can be used for either corporations or non-profits. That is not the deciding factor. Joomla! was created by th...

Re: New slogan
I can't help but feel that this is probably another exercise in futility. The core team kept us all amused for a long time after asking us to put forward name suggestions (19th August) and then registering their chosen name (not one put forward by members of the community) two days later - wh...

Re: New Logo
There have been so many great logos submitted. I still would vote for the Degray one, personally, but there are many that are more than fine. I also really like the African shield, though it could use some work to make sure it's clear it's not a bug. I see a lot of support and variants on the hand. ...

Re: Project Name Chosen- Discussion
I think its very clever. Everyone is going to notice the name, it's not going to be mistaken for anything else - like a dance or some other software, and it is short, easy, and fun to say. In addition, the team was able to get the trademark registered and there are a ton of available domains for it....

I think it's very decent of the core to notify the *mambo and mambo* owners at all. For owners of .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .to, .us, and .name: If you are seriously stuck and cannot register the domain in time and you feel like you can trust me, I will be willing to act as your proxy. Re: Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community - Discussion
Hell, if you wanted to, you could completely take over the foundation and divorce it from Miro if you wanted to, and had enough support from the other members to do so. If the community is so much in agreement, it seems like it would have been a cakewalk to simply change the foundation to whatever ...

Re: Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community - Discussion
Might as well chime in also. I agree that a foundation is a good idea. I would suggest it to the core team for the future of this development. When I represented Mambo at the SoCal Linux Expo in Feb 2005, I made up flyers to hand out specifically drawing attention to the re-involvement of Miro and w...
