Yeah, I see I'm having issues with other sites as well, not just those.
Something in my ISP, i suppose.
this happened earlier this week, and I didn't connect the two issues. Darn it all. Cheap DSL. I guess it's just like hosting--you get what you pay for, eh?
Thanks, and sorry for the bother!

joomla.org, help.joomla.org down?
I cannot access joomla.org, help.joomla.org or news.joomla.org at the present time.
Not sure if this is known or what..
But this forum is working great right now!
EDIT: joomlacode.org is down, too!

Joomla! download throwing Unhandled PropelException
joomlacode.org throws the Unhandled PropelException, times out, or loads okay, depending on the page.

the 1.5 Beta2 board says in its name it is closed, but all users can still post to it. Should this be closed?

Re: Joomla! Do i need extensions?
the answer depends completely on what you're trying to achieve.
The power of Joomla! is that you can add what you need.
On some of my sites, i am using extensions such as OpenSEF, Community Builder, ReadMore bot, JoomlaXplorer, SWMenu..lots of different things.
check out the extensions at: http://extensions.joomla.org

Re: joomla.com hacked?
both domain names are registered to OpenSourceMatters.
This behavior has been know for literally a LONG TIME.
THERE WAS NO HACKING. So to answer your question, a grand total of 0 (ZERO) official Joomla! sites are hacked.
the problem can be resolved by going to the proper url: joomla.org

Re: joomla.com hacked?
the correct URL is Joomla.org, not joomla.com
there has been some funky stuff going on with the .com for a long time. if you do a search you'll find some useful info.
BUT, the resolution is to use the proper URL: joomla.org
hope that helps!

1. well, as Amy stated earlier, Wilco blogged about a timeframe: m 2. a beta software is messed up, and full of bugs. you could do testing online, that shouldn't be a problem. Why we suggest you don't use it for a live site is because at any time, something could break... But you'd be fine for testi...

Re: Joomla Download Link not working?
Please be patient.
it isn't exactly an easy thing to have a backup server which can handle that type of load (2 TB per month)
but if someone wants to pay for one, I'm sure the core team would be happy to make it even more redundant.
