PNG and Internet Explorer 6

Post by fl00r » Tue Oct 09, 2007 10:35 am

Dear all,

I have a problem with my main menu. It is not correctly functioning in IE6.
I searched this forum and know it has something to do with the way IE6 and lower versions handles PNG files.
I managed to get a link to the solution (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/pnghowto.htm) but haven't got the faintest idea where I need to paste the html code in my Joomla site.
The URL of the faulty site is: http://mp3.hakstege.net
Can someone please point me in the right direction 'cause I am n00b when it comes to this.

FYI: on one of my other Joomla site I haven't got this problem: http://www.hifi-inear.com
Isn't that odd?

Thanks, your input is highly appreciated!

i don't think it has to do with IE and PNGs - the issue is normally with transparency, and the images themselves look fine. The problem is that they are not being cached, so are having to reload every time the mouse moves over them. trouble is, i don't know why! Could it be a setting on your server that tells the client not to cache?

Thank you for the reply.
The reloading of the menu is exactly the problem, altough I doubt it has something to do with the server-settings because another Joomla site on the same server with the same template has no problem with the mouse-roll-over-issue.  ???
