At the News section on the main Joomla site found here http://www.joomla.org/content/blogcategory/0/33/ I submitted my news item for a new free template, with no pictures, 2 links, a short tasteful description, and provided all of the necessary information for a news item, and it was never published..... i waited 10 days tried again and still it was not published. I have not been contacted as to why?
Why would the main site not publish a news item that complied with all of the requirements?
Also, a suggestion to the site is. If a submission is rejected contact the submitters of the news item with a short explanation as to why.
Submitted news but never posted and no explanation?

As far as I know, delay in publishing News may be just due to heavy load on News admins.

I thought this as well at first. But then I noticed that other people were having their news items published that were dated later than mine, there was also a 3 day period of time that nothing new was published. Which leads me to believe that my submission was being cast aside, ignored, or rejected and I have no idea why.
This is why i think it would be a good idea to inform the authors of rejected posts. Maybe something simple like "Your submission was rejected please check the rules..."
