My pastor just e-mailed me to ask if it's possible if we can conduct an online survey this coming November on our Joomla-based church website. I do not yet know what the questions will be, but I imagine that we would want to gather the data collected by the members who take this survey.
Is there any free survey components/modules out there that I should be looking at? We are using Joomla 1.0.13.

Re: Conducting a Survey
Turns out that this is just going to be a link to another website, but I would still be interested in any survey tools out there...if anyone has any thoughts/suggestions.

Re: Conducting a Survey
Hi there ~
Although they may not be labelled as surveys, you could always cull through the Forms category of Joomla extensions at http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/
Another option might be a bit of a cheat, but it's worked for me before.... Go to http://www.widgetbox.com, find a survey widget that will work for you. Then, create an account/widget, and when you get your widget source code, create a custom module for your widget in Joomla.
Let me know if you need help putting together your module, and I'll point you in the right direction.
Best,
Nicole

Re: Conducting a Survey
Have you implemented a widget on your site? I can't get one to work for the life of me. I drop the code into the HTML editor, publish the item, and then nothing shows up. If I go back into the item the HTML editor deletes all of the code.
Help!
Thanks!

Hi, Dan ~
The trick is to turn off your WYSIWYG editor before you paste in your widget code. You might be able to get it to work if you paste your code into the HTML window of the WYSIWYG, but I find turning it off until I get my code in and working the way I want it to works best.
You might also try creating a custom module for you widget. Go to Modules / Site Modules / New Add your code and set the module parameters and you're in business.
Good luck!
Nicole

Thanks Nicole. I got it working yesterday by doing exactly what you said.
