My Commercial component code was stolen and republished on JED under GPL

Post by alexandru_lamba » Wed Oct 17, 2007 11:00 am

Hello,

I'm Alex, the developer of RSform!(Forms category). My software code was stolen and republished under GNU/GPL in the same category under the name of JoomlaForm. Please help me. It's really affecting my business and it's just not the right thing to do. Any help would be appreciated.

The situation has been solved. Thanks for the great support from the Joomla team and the ones(like aravot) who pointed out this to me.

Yes, issues was solved.

For fairness it has to be made clear that no code was stolen.  :)

In general when developers suspect that their code has been borrowed then please contact us directly, or report in JED.
That would ensure that false accusations are not raised in public. Thanks.

Setting thread to Solved.

Just for my clarification, what do you mean by not stolen, what do you call this, the files had references to pimpmyjoomla.com

It can't be enough stressed. No code was ever stolen. As Alex wrote, this has been solved for now and I suggest that you contact him if you want to know any details.
