Expiring Menu Item in v1.0.13

Hi guys,

I need a hack that will remove a menu item from the user menu after a set period of days.  So I assume this needs to be written to the core mod_mainmenu.

What I am trying to do is offer my newest members a refund.  All they need to do is click a link in the User Menu that states "Request Refund". 

This link or menu item will expire after 7 days, so I need the menu item to automatically be removed from a members access if they have been a member for longer than the 7 day period.
