The Joomla demos have been unavailable since I started looking October 3. Will they ever be available? Also, I am assuming the account registration mentioned on that page is for here in the forum since there was no link from that page and I don't see any other way to register on the web site.
Thanks,
Taylor

Re: Joomla? Demos!
The site demonstrations were taken offline due to spam and other garbage being manually inserted into the content areas (since anyone could register a demo account). Since some "pacthing" needed to be done to the core files to make the demos more secure from spammers it was decided to get help from the dev. team. However as we all know they are very busy trying to get 1.5 completed and there just are not enough hours in the day. So it's either work on the demos or work on 1.5. IMHO 1.5 is the more important task. So the demo sites were taken offline until the dev. team gets a little free time to come up with a solution to the spamming.
The account registration mentioned on the Joomla! demonstration page is referring to the fact that (when the demos were online and available) you had to register an account to fully use all areas of the demonstrations - both public frontend and admin backend.
If you'd like I can set you up with temporary access to a Joomla! demo for a couple of days. Or you can always use the WAMP/LAMP method and install a working copy on your local PC.

Re: Joomla? Demos!
Please, pretty please sign me up for a temporary account. I promise I won't spam! I've been waiting and waiting for the demo to come back. I plan to use a host that has Fantastico or something that will setup Joomla for me. I don't want to mess with that backend stuff since I'm a designer and there are Joomla hosts that will do it for me. Thanks for considering my temp demo account.

Re: Joomla? Demos!
Just created a new demo for 1.5. You can get the information here:
http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,232895.0.html
Scroll down part of the first page. Should be at the bottom.
A Demo for 1.0.13 will be coming very shortly.
