Found a not very nice google ad when searching for Joomla
Whilst doing a search for joomla forum software just now I spotted a not very nice sponsored ad titled "Joomla is a waste of time"
I have attached a screengrab BUT I suggest you do the following search and if the offending ad appears then why not click it and have a look at their site - yes it will mean they have to pay each time you click it, but maybe they should have thought about that before
http://www.google.co.uk/search?source=i ... arch&meta=

Interesting, but does it really belong in Legal?
Re: Found a not very nice google ad when searching for Joomla
I didn't post it in the Legal section - a moderator moved it here.
Re: Found a not very nice google ad when searching for Joomla
Fair enough. Are you sure this is a legal issue?
Re: Found a not very nice google ad when searching for Joomla
Okay, I moved this here because I couldn't figure out what forum it should go in and my fellow moderators said to put it here.
It's sad that there are anti-Joomla! ads out there, but there is nothing we can really do about it, except maybe try to make sure they aren't served on the joomla.org sites. I know nothing about how that works or if it is possible, but Brad will know if anyone will.

Read your words before posting and think about how other people will read them. Be polite. Be kind. Be constructive. Say thank you.

I can prevent ads like this being served on our sites, however, I've not seen one as yet, or been given a screenshot of one.

Come on, mcsmom. You can do better than that. Ummm. Actually you probably can't since you are doing a fine job. Keep up the good work.mcsmom wrote:Okay, I moved this here because I couldn't figure out what forum it should go in and my fellow moderators said to put it here.

I wouldn't know where to put something like this either.
