Scout Troop sites and Church sites

Here's an idea for all of you... Leaders, ask your church (or chartering organization) if they have a website... if they do and most likely they will... ask them if they would be willing to give your unit a sub-domain.  For instance, my church website is www.svchurchofchrist.org , the sub-domain would be something like this cubscouts.svchurchofchrist.org or boyscouts.svchurchofchrist.org .  We chose to name it like this instead of naming the sub-domain with the actual unit number like troop430.svchurchofchrist.org. 

So ask your chartering organizations if they would be willing to give your unit a website and have it set up with J!  It won't cost them anything more to have this done and if it does then they should move their hosting to another provider that has this option for free.
