ubuntu xampp and pdt

Hi
I recently shifted from winxp to ubuntu 7.0.4. I went through tutorial of installing xampp and pdt. But I got stuck at one point.
Here is what i am trying to do.
1. I will have my xamp on one linux box
2. me and my partner will access the same xampp to work on it
Now i am stuck here i dont know how to install eclipse xdebug and xamp in this case
