Alex

I have asisted last year to this event. It's a nice one, middle size. Last year there was an Open Source Village where hackers & FOSS projects could present their project. They were given a table & chairs to show off their projects. I have no idea if they had to pay something for that "booth", I would tend to say no or not much, as the village was pretty much informal
Another thing very different would be to be able to give a speech during this event. Anyway asking is free, ins't it ?

Maybe Laurent could take the lead. I know that Fabrice of moodsign (= 55thinking France) would certainly also interested in colaborating in some way. Sure that other Joomlers in France would pop-up too

Hi Alex,

Of course we have to pay, but this is not a problem! We won't be in the NPO (not whith hackers...) village but in the professionnal village, near the main conference room.
There is the ability to give a speech (1/4 an hour) on the FNILL stand which is organised to do so and they are waiting for a Joomla presentation. I'm thinking about a "jQuery with Joomla" presentation I could do.

Of course, I invite all french joomlers to meet us during these 3 days ( so 2 or more evenings too!). Opware has already confirm.

Feel free to contact me Alex.

Sorry to busy with other stuff :).

YES interested.

Normally we as the Joomla! project try to be in the FOSS area without paying for a booth. But sometimes we also had the situation that a donor from the region payed for a booth and we could use it. Both concepts are possible in general.

Could you checkout how much the costs are and if it is possible if we do have a speakers slot? We have several people in France from the working groups which can present about Joomla!.

My perfect scenario would be if we can make the Joomla!Day FR happen next to this event. I try to get the people involved into the Joomla!Day.fr in touch with you.

I think it is too short for a JoomlaDay but we can plan some "Joomlapéro" (JUG meeting)

The french community begins to prepare the next JoomlaDay 2008. It will probably take place between April and June 2008.
Can you give me (mp) team members who could participate as special guests?
