I am truly a newbie to the Joomla world and I would like to know where all of the joomla files need to be placed when creating a module.
I have the necessary files for the mod_helloworld but I do not know the proper procedure for uploading them to the correct directory. I know that my next question will be on the actual steps to get them installed within the application itself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: HELP!!! Hello World Sample Module
If you check out: http://dev.joomla.org/component/option, ... llo_world/
It gives you directions for created the module. There are four files you need in total. Three go in the root, the other goes in a directory called tmpl. Package all of these into a zip file (it is gone for some reason - I will have to track it down) and then install it using the package installer.

Re: HELP!!! Hello World Sample Module
im having a similar problem there at
http://dev.joomla.org/component/option,com_jd-wiki/Itemid,/id,modules:hello_world/
will this tutorial be expanded, enhanced, completed, or is it to be considered finished and closed as it is?
the former tutorial for 1.0.13 had a four step tutorial which went into more detail, are there any plans to adapt that to 1.5?
thanks
