how to add more user types

hi,
i want add a new user type and change the modules permissions for that user type for now we have:
Public
Registered
Special

but i want add some more user types for see same modules or not
i already have added two new types for in backoffice change the type of user but i don´t know where is the query for select the module access where can i change this? can anyone one help me?

I have similar question/problem.
I've got 2 new user types and I'll collect other details(besides username,pass,email) about them (different details for each user).
So is it clever to use existing user mechanism joomla uses or. should I use my own(new) database tables and synchronize users with joomla default system or something? I need a suggestion please, tnx :)
