Suggetion Box 4 Core Team: Please Post Requirments for JDay?

It would be great if Alex, Ryan, Louis & Co - you'd maybe make it a bit easier for folks like us to organize a simple JoomlaDay. I suggest you post the requirements HERE on the Forum.

Hi John,

as the requirements are defined in the Joomla!Day charter I don't actually see the requirement to publish this again. Everybody interested in organizing a Joomla!Day is invited to contact me and will get the required documents and support.

Process wise I decided that I do not give this charter document free for download as the initial contact and information is essential for me. I don't want to have people just organizing a Joomla!Day as they think that their event fulfills the requirements. The primary requirement for a Joomla!Day is the approval from the Joomla! events team. And to know whom we give this approval we need to a contact first.

Cheers

Joomla! is an open source community. Project management should be no more proprietary than the source code.

I understand the Core Team's desire for control, but when folks like me come to the CT for speakers, as well as promotion on this forum (which all will naturally do), you'll have the chokepoint you desire to ensure the brand's equity does not suffer. Sharing this information in advance would have saved dozens of man-hours on my team's part, so I offer that as a suggestion.
