i am wondering how i sign up to get a password and id for the developers network.
am i just not seeing a register link cos i can only see a login link.
any help would be appreciated as i have just started developing in joomla and think it would be a great reference to have.

You do not need and you are also not able to register on the dev.joomla.org site.
