This issue has been going on for a while now.  It seems to be isolated to IE.  In Firefox, it works fine, and some IE users can get in. They just haven't nailed down the reason why some can't.

While that is amusing, it is unfortunately a fact of life that most web surfers use Microsoft.  I, as I am sure you do, prefer other browsers, but I use IE because I know the overwhelming majority of my customers do.

We ignore IE compatibility at our own peril.  Most web surfers won't take the time to fire up an alternative browser (if they even have one loaded) to see if a page can be accessed with something else.  That means if they hit a broken page or link (or a forbidden page) , they simply move on and go somewhere else.

We don't get to write the rules of the road for others, only for ourselves.  This site needs to be compatible with as large a segment of the browsing community as it can be.

But, it was a good point  ;D

You will get the error mesage if your browser doesnt sent the referrer page to the forge when requesting a page.  Therefore if you have security software installed that hides this information then you will have problems using the forge.

Humor at its best. Gotta stick it in there somewhere!
