The Beauty of Joomla, some suggestions

Post by Minnov » Mon Feb 27, 2006 12:58 am

Hello all,,

I have been customising Joomla for some site,, just to see how it performs,, I have to admit, Joomla is great,, you have honored the open source community,, thanks a lot guys,,

I have these suggestions,, to be able perhaps to improve, contribute, to open source,, since I can't write patches or help coding.

1. To post this feedback I had to register in these forum, I couldn't find any simpler way, isn't this a bit weired, if there is any other way and I couldn't find it, I am sorry, but as I said I couldn't find it.

2. The admin operations in Joomla is great, but I suggest to have a "Do it again link". To explain this, I would use the [Add Menu Item :: Link - Content Item] as an example operation. Once you click the "Save" button you will return to the main menu structure. If you wanted to add the same menu type again,, you will have to click 2 clicks to get the same "Add menu item again". I think some will find it easier to just have do it again sort of link.

Thats all for the time being,, if these suggestions are irrelevant,, just ignore them,, :)

Thank you all for Joomla

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

1. This is the place to do it. . ;) Due to the size of the development team as well as the community, the forums are 'where we are' 8)

2. Have you seen the option in content items to 'link to menu' I think this might make what you are trying to do a bit easier.

No one is ignored.. thanks again.
