Joomla.com still broken

Post by healinghq » Mon Mar 06, 2006 12:28 am

just wondering who the person is that can fix the problem - http://www.joomla.com - I know we're supposed to goto http://www.joomla.org but alot of people probably don't know any better and goto joomla.com - and for quite some time now, the images on joomla.com have been missing....

what's up with that?

-aram

ps - Joomla has made my life better!  I love the product and community.

not for me... maybe its a US thing.... or something specific to my ISP..... but I don't see any images on joomla.com - joomla.org works fine however.

I think it is Internet Provider related. Your internet provider uses a DNS-server to translate the .com name into some IP address that is used by computers. As other ppl do not have the same problem (here .com also works ok), I think it's a local problem.

It is working just fine on this end. Perhaps it was a temporary DNS issue?

How about just making a landing page for joomla.com and then tell people to come to joomla.org? I feel your pain Brad after trying this once with a medium sized site that turned out to be a royal pain. Hopefully you can find some compromise to get this working again.

I can confirm that images can not be seen on Opera 8.51???

BTW ... I feel for you Brad ... you guys do an excellent job ... and should be proud of what you have accomplished ... in such a short time.  This is a small inconvenience to pay; for the great work you do with Joomla ... and this site.  Keep up the good work ... and this only proves ... the best laid plans of mice and men ...  (you know the rest)!  8)
