Roadmap update

Post by nathandiehl » Mon Feb 27, 2006 8:06 pm

the roadmap: http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/23/61/
could use an updating. If it isn't updated...we'll start seeing newbies ask about it all the time pretty soon...

Also, there used to be a link to the roapmap from http://dev.joomla.org , which is no longer there... i had to search the forums to find a link to it.

EDIT/UPDATE: (the link has since been return to function--roadmap still needs edited please)

1. 1.0.8 release date
2. 1.1 release date states Q1--last i heard from you, early Q2 was a better guess. people are going to start complaining in a couple weeks, 'where is 1.1 that is supposed to be released already?' and 'whine, whine...' i would suggest that keeping it more up to date would cut down on disgruntled users who want the newest, latest, best thing NOW.

when someone gets around to it, it would be nice to have an updated roadmap. people are starting to ask for 1.0.9, which the roadmap dates as coming out in March. Time is almost up...

it would also ease confusion, i think, if 1.5 were laid down as to what was actually happening. i read a lot here, and i really don't know--i'm kinda lost myself.

Roadmap changes are on the way, we had lot of people sick or busy with getting prepared for some Expos or coding night and day on the Version 1.5 :) , that we where not able to do these changes, it is not only a change of the Version numbering also the feature descriptions need to get changed, because of the great improvements, thats makes the "little"  work delay.

But your right, update will be within the next days.
The "Humor, Fun and Games" forum has  more than 2500 Posts, so why not build a "Humor, Fun and Games Working" Group?
.....
Malicious tongues say we have this WG right from the start, they call it core team :D
