Personal Messages Inbox lost?

Today I had a strange thing going on in my PM-mailbox (that has enough space for new incoming messages), after I deleted a few older messages this morning.
in the course of the afternoon I saw 2 times 2  new messages coming "IN", timestamped 'today'. But as I hit the PM link button (see picture red oval) the message-count went 2 down and I never saw the new messages again. Tried logout-login. No changes.

I seemed to have lost them. Normally I get an warning e-mail ("New Personal Message: Re: ") to another emailaccount in my Outlook pop3 mailbox that some new message on the forum has arrived. Not about these 4 messages this afternoon.

Later I got a another PM (+ notifycation email) and that seems to stay in the INBOX even if I threat it the same way....

Does anybody know what could have gone wrong?

I has not seen or heard of this issue happening before. Not sure how to even try to track it down for you. If you have any idea, let me know.

I agree, Brad, it is a bit of a ghost story, which you don't want to tell your wife as an excuse that you weren't home last night:
unbelievable, non reproduceable, no proof it happened in the first place.

I just asked my sources to send again. That's the easy way out. I'll let you know as soon as I have any clue what happened.
