The idea sounds ok, as and if all Extensions feature links to the Forge page, and "normal" users do not necessarily need to search through the projects anymore.
One question though:
I have noticed the "Project News" link and the Forge frontpage do not show the same content? How come?

Re: Grouping Forge under Dev's
Good question Joe,
Forge news (to my knowledge) is not moderated in so far as requiring approval before beign posted to the site. The way the Project News section on the developer networks gets content is by pulling it out of the forge news category via a SOAP webservice call. Once that happens, someone from the developer site moderation team has to approve the news item for display and at that point publishes the article. Then it appears on the developer networks site. That clear it up for you?

Re: Grouping Forge under Dev's
Sure, thanks
I guess and hope this manual approval process includes editing to make news clearer than they sometimes are on the Forge (New version is out! -of what..? and such)...

I'm currently in charge of approving the news. Trying to do it on a daily basis. The actual component that pulls the news from the forge is still a work in progress and we are hoping to add more features to in the near future.

How do you manage to keep track of all this stuff you're doing at the same time? (not to mention manage to find time to eat, sleep and work?)
