Just a thought. I cant draw for sh*t but the idea of a jungle drum with the word JOOMLA carved/painted on to it and the caption KEEPING THE OPEN SOURCE RYTHM ALIVE apeals to me.

Any thoughts, Changes on this.

Easy! just copy the file! 
I added several tiny ones to show what it could look like in a greyscale or b/w only environment, as well as to give a sense of what it looks like smaller. I originally designed it as flat black shapes in photoshop.... but I realized it really will primarily be used online in color, so that should be the "main" logo, with more "printer frindly" variants coming in as a secondary concern.
