1. I think we need a mascot, something funny and cute like tux is for Linux. Good for marketing, helps users relate.

If we're looking for a mascot, how about a social mammal that works in colonies, like a prairie dog? They're cute and furry, and they all work together & look out for each other... plus peekmambo's hand could maybe be like a prairie dog paw? (wrong number of digits probably...)

I really love it. LOVE joomla!.. love this logo.

Can't take the credit for the initial design on this, but I took the hand from a previous post and cleaned it up a bit and added the text. I switched up the colors and got rid of the brown in place for purple. Colors follow the color wheel also. This version will reproduce well in black and white.

I had never really considered the idea, but would you enlighten all of us citizens as to why a mascot is such a bad idea?

im not against mascot. what i mean is do we need it now.. can we wait until all this slogan and logo published. So that it would be more appropriate to choose a mascot referring to the logo and the slogan itself.
