File Management, MosTree and Joomla Extensions

Hi All,

I've been looking into the design of the Joomla Extensions area (which is VERY impressive, once again) and I've been in contact with MosTree.  It turns out the filemanagement piece is not integrated into MosTree - which I need.

Does anyone have any knowledge as to how MosTree and the file management piece were put together with the Ratings component for the Extensions site?

There isn't really any filemanegement as such. The files are all located at various other locations such as the developers home page or the forge. Mostree simply holds the URL of the download location.

If your looking for file management I would suggest you checkout Docman. Its fairly powerfull once your familiar with its operation and of cause its full Joomla! component.

I've used DocMan before and been quite happy with it.  I was just hoping someone had a solution for incorporating file management withing the MosTree system,

There is no solution available but i'm happy to discuss integrating it in mostree with Lee. Maybe u can probe him about it ?

Hey Jinx,

Consider the probe 'inserted'.  We traded emails for a wee while but he didn't seem too interested in pursuing this file intigration scheme into his code base for MosTree.
