Post by brian » Tue Mar 28, 2006 8:54 pm

It seems that debate is no longer allowed on this forum. Where has the Open gone

UPDATED
Now an explanation has been given why the thread was closed I understand.

Once these kind of posts start to appear, it is usually the sign of a season change!
End of Summer.. see what happened last year? :)
Now, beginning of Spring.. what's up??

Brian I would suggest if you have a problem with the way a post has been moderated or if you have a reason to believe a thread has been closed and would like it to be open, then you should take it up with the Moderator in question instead of accusing the Mods as a group of censorship.

That sort of comment doesn't help anyone and helps Joomla on a whole even less.  :(

???

I would say that says the mods are preventing open debate since it actually says "forum mods closing threads to prevent open debate".  Did I miss read it?

My point is that take it up personally with whomever you think you need to.  Don't accuse the Mods of preventing open debate because it isn't the truth.

Regardless of why the thread was closed or why any post is moderated, if you or anyone in the community has a problem with what has happened in a situation, the best course of action is to contact the Moderator in question personally, instead of disrupting the boards with inflammatory and insulting posts.  This sort of behavior does a disservice to the Forum and to Joomla.

On a lighter note, today is a new day, and I hope you have a good one. :)
