This is a layout example.

I see a very elegant logo! Moreover it is quite different from win or google colours and it is possible to easily reduce the logo to an almost "rounded" j.

The circle could even be.. the world or the community itself! And I imagine that there are a lot of colours variation possibilities!!! I like very much!

For what it's worth, as it has been mentioned here before, the logo should re-produce well in many different formats - for print, web, shirts, caps, faxes etc etc, so it needs to work well in full colour and 1 colour (black) and it needs a form that is really punchy and has instant impact.

I think the hand works really well (without the gel treatment) and would work well on it's own, as a logo, icon, shirt motif etc, just like the Mambo flower.  Added to the text of 'Joomla' it looks nice, and the text needs to be clear, crisp, and leave you in no doubt as to what it says, you need to feel it less than a split second. The job of a logo is communication firstly, friendship and warmth secondly.

I don't really feel I could better the hand logo, that's how good it is, it really has all the qualities of an excellent brand, and I vote for that one beyond all others...I feel it has as much if not more impact than the Mambo flower logo.
