300 000 Posts, awesome effort everyone!

Within the last few hrs, we passed the 300 000 post mark on the forums. Considering these forums were only started in Aug 2005, that is an awesome effort, and a tribute to the greatness of all who make up our community.

A few bits of info from me:

• All our members on these forums are fully activated accounts. This means that our membership figures are a true indication of our forum membership.
• Did you know we have over 50 hard working moderators who make these forums a safe and friendly place? A full list is here
• Did you know, quite a few extra forum statistics are available via the link at the bottom of the forums: 'More Stats'
• Did you know we now have over 550 extensions added to our Extensions Directory? You can see them all here: http://extensions.joomla.org It looks as though the extensions site is going to be one of our most popular resources (if it already isn't).
• Did you know we are doing close to 1Tb of data transfer a month from our main server. Nice to see the server holding up so well.
• I'd also like to specially thanks those on the Core Team and community who work so hard coding the great software that brings us all together, Joomla!

.... and we could not have done any of this without you, The Community!

The Extension page always excites me. I think i am hooked on keeping count of the extensions than the forum.

My goodness!

People, this is awesome.  I'm so proud of the entire community, and especially our core team and hall of famers.  It doesn't seem that long ago that I came into the office one summer morning to read the letter from the core team about the switch and thought to myself, "please don't let this end".

I'm in constant awe of the power of community involvement.  Thanks everyone for your hard work and dedication.

Good to see new members becoming regulars in the forums and not just the core team / mods etc

Good stuff, Brad. In fact, I think it's presentation/PR kind of info! I appreciate you sharing this with us. Good job moderators! That's a lot of messages to manage. Brad - what kind of servers are you guys running to stand up to our abuse? Must be some good stuff! Thanks for all you guys do for us!

Well done to everyone involved

This is simply another testament to the core team’s extraordinary work and dedication to the project and community over the past six months.

It will be interesting to see how Joomla is positioned on its first birthday. In my personal opinion, with such a dedicated group of people managing things the project can only get stronger.
