Our team/sports related site(s)

Post by coscooper » Tue Sep 27, 2005 1:39 am

Okay... I'll chide in on my teams sports program Non-profit site. We have 4 Mambo site's running here for each program we offer. There's no special template work, just off-the-shelf free templates.

The basic use of these sites are both promotional and team centric. We spotlight our athletes and the ability to offer non-techies to be able to edit the sites is invaluable.

Core team organization: http://www.lertprograms.com

Eldora Mountain Ski & Snowboard Club: http://www.lertprograms.com/emsc
Singletrack Mountain Bike Adventures: http://www.lertprograms.com/smba

That's it. Nothing fancy, but a lot of great software making the sites professional, clean and easy to edit and maintain.

Scoop,

Great simple site! Yes it does look professional. Which templates and modules did you use?  I am tasked to get our Swim Club Web site  upgraded?
I do not have any experience coding  PHP or HTML. I have played around with Frontpage and DreamWeaver.

Our current site has been neglected for a long time and is not easy to update. I have been reading Beginners Guides from Red Evolution  and have test environment using XAMPP, Joomla 1.01.

Thanks  for any advice.
