Scrolling Donors Module

We would like to set up a sort of "thank you" module that would scroll the names of those that have donated.

Does anyone know of such a module or have any ideas on how to create one?

I noticed that no one has answered your thread here yet. Would you mind scoping out in more detail what you're looking to do here? Do you have a donations system already installed on your Joomla site? Would this need to be automated? What information would like to have scrolling? Would you want to show anyone who's ever donated, or just the past 5 or so?

We'll need more details before we can help you out, but if you let us know, we'll do our best.

Ryan, I don't know if anyone got back to you on this scrolling donars module, but I am VERY interested in it as well. It sounds like a super way for us to acknowledge our member donars to the Chamber of Commerce. If you develop this, PLEASE let me know! I would like to be able to scroll all the donars continuously in a box. I don't currently have an online donars system, but am going to add that as well, as soon as I learn what all is out there and available. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since I am just starting out in Joomla! ... and LOVE it!

At the very least, you could have the donors displayed in a 'last five' activity list. Would be minor hacking to call most recent activity from your donor info database.

Do all of your donors want to be recognized publicly?

Scrolling is perty EZ to do. I'm sure you've already got the OK of your donors to recognize them--but from lots of experience, make sure you've got their EXPLICIT approval to do so--the ones that don't will call you and likely send your head sc-rolling.

This is an amazingly versatile module! There is a dizzying array of settings including scrolling--horizontal or vertical.

Even if you have no interest in scrolling, I highly recommend this module.
