Aloha Joomlas....
I am building up a non-profit oriented Grassroot movement right now with a topic I consider deep, important, needed and creative.
Although I can do all the Joomla related stuff my self I can't fill any role in this so far solo project and I am a bit overwhelmed right now with all the project parts AND: It's way more fulfilling and fun to work as a team...
I am looking for Joomla experienced Admins and Editors to join the ship as volunteers.
So what's it about ?
I'm sure you are aware of the global crisis we have right now ?! some symptoms are:
*Devastation and depletion of eco systems
*massive extinction of species
* injustice, poverty, illness, ignorance and a widening gap between the rich and the poor
*over exponential growth of violent conflicts
*over exponential growth of weapon arsenals especially for mass destruction
*Unprecedented rise of the human world population thous overburdened eco-/social systems
The mission that we have on a global scale and which is also ankered in the United Nations plan (Agenda 21 p.e) is a global mass movement for Peace Building and Sustainable Development.
Now - if we look @ todays dominant mass media myth (movies, tv-shows, video games, MMORPG, etc.) we find a dominance of mono themes related to military, war, crime, violence, consumerism, wealth, luxury, sex, propaganda and gossip. There is nothing "wrong" with having these stories and myth !!!!
We just have this absolut lack of alternatives to choose from related to Peace Building and Sustainable Development. We need more myth that inspire our Great Quest.
The idea: A community created Open Source Culture Myth being told in multiple mediums (movie, audio play, interactive video game, MMORPG, performance art dance theater.....) We produce all media together in an Open Source style connected online and in our local communities.
In order to empower many to participate, edutainment programs for media- and eco literacy will be set up online and in local communities.
The Joomla part: Right now I'm setting up the welcome center in all the flying around Open Source CMS I use for various stuff. The Joomla based welcome center should be the central place to unfold the idea further and bring it into action. It's designed as a Social Network.
