There where Two comments to Joomla - SMF Bridge. I want to place a comment. But I saw that those two comments where removed? Why … Why ppl have to comment when there are removed? >:(
Both comments where telling that there where already are some free Bridges en that the have the same functions or even more functions.
There is nothing wrong with those comments. The only inform users that there is more.
Or is It only allowed the give reply’s O what an great Component? And is it not allowed to give your real opinion?
Edit: I just saw that my comment also has been removed First I get an e-mail that it is approved an now it is removed. Hmmm
haha I am not Pissed but find it not nice and correct to do that
Why are comments removed in the Extension section?

Hi Livebox,
Let us first get something straight here
The Review feature is for reviews, not for comments. Please have a closer look at the rules here:
http://extensions.joomla.org/content/view/12/36/
Having a review approved (good or bad) depends on whether the reviewer actually have used the extension being reviewed.
Cannot say if your comment have been published earlier, but a quick look at the comment you mention tell that this is not a review.
Feel free to submit reviews of any extension you have actually tested

Sorry about the comment mistake. The reviews were published. But later removed.
Your review to this extension:
Joomla - SMF Bridge
has been approved
This was the e-mail i recieved. So there are now 3 reviews removed

Re: Why are comments removed in the Extension section?
Saying that there are free alternatives (which users can see by themselves in the appropriate category of the site) is not a review, and has nothing to do with the component in question.
A review, as otsen said, is yoour opinion once you have tested, about this particular component, about what it does and does not, not it's alternatives.
According to your 1st post, all 3 "reviews" were not reviews.

Re: Why are comments removed in the Extension section?
I initially approved the reviews ( I was tired and not paying enough attention) then realised that they didn't conform to what a review actually is so I unapproved them again.
As Joe rightly says, the comments regarding there being free alternatives do not constitute reviews, and whilst you're free to raise those points here on the forums (and I hope you do) the extensions server isn't the right place for them.
