I'm helping a pastor convert (no pun intended) his old static church website to one powered by Joomla!. I've moved everything over except one page that has me stymied. It's basically a list of 36 bible verses which are links to anchors at the bottom of the page where the text of the verses is shown. My initial thought was to list the 36 references and then have the verse text appear in a tooltip, but after playing around with tooltips for a few hours it seems like that might be difficult to implement, especially since Joomla! happily wipes away all traces of "onmouseover" from an article when it's opened with a WYSIWYG editor. Does anyone have a suggestion about how to move this page to Joomla! while maintaining the same basic idea? For reference here is the original:

Here is what I'm doing so far in Joomla! which is making the list into one big table that will eventually link to anchors at the bottom of the page. I don't like it but it's better than linking to the old page like we're doing now:

Re: Church website suggestion
Have you tried pasting the code in with the wysiwyg editor turned off? When I want something complex in my content item, I usually work it in a separate html editor on my local computer, then paste the code into the text field with wysiwyg off. It give a lot of flexibility.

Yes I've tried that, but then you're restricted from ever opening that document in WYSIWYG again because it will strip out the onmouseover events. I'd rather leave the old formatting than tell the staff that they have to turn off TinyMCE any time they want to edit the page. Thanks for your inputs. I'm still trying to figure out a way to present the message in an eye-pleasing manner.

Have you tried another wysiwyg editor? Perhaps there is one that wouldn't. Shot in the dark.
Alternately, perhaps make a Content Table Page with Categories "Enojo, Seguridad, Cargas, Consuel," etc.
Click on the Category and for a page with the passages to shows up in a Category Blog. Or have a list of content items that can be click for the passages. There's a lot of possiblities along this line.

Re: Church website suggestion
That's a good idea. I'll look into the Content Table Idea when I get back from vacation. For now I'm off to Alaska to not think about Joomla! for 2 weeks!
Thanks again
