This seems to fix the problem with deleting the modules but the user modules are still not displaying on the frontend. Only the title of the module will display.

Congratulations on Joomla release.

Installed it on two of our sites...went in without a hitch! Excellent...clean...and appears to run faster.

Will convert the rest of our own sites and those of our clients over the weekend.

Job well done.

A strange thing is happening on my site when i publish a RSS on my frontpage from another site... the whole template is weird then.

From the side of multilanguage support 1.0 is somehow - AGAIN MADE TO RUN ONLY IN ENGLISH,
there is no option to make a installation or backend translation without changing everything in the PHP files, which for me is strange and for sure a step back.

Very well done dear Coreteam  ;) seems to be really faster than before.
The "Humor, Fun and Games" forum has  more than 2500 Posts, so why not build a "Humor, Fun and Games Working" Group?
.....
Malicious tongues say we have this WG right from the start, they call it core team :D

Can everyone please make sure they submit bugs in the bugtracker:

It's the only way for us to stay on top of things!  Cheers.

This release is definitly faster then old mambo release.
Great job core team!  ;D
Notice big time speed increase on a slower vps I am developing on.

Hope the custom module not displaying content issue gets fixed soon - that is the only show stopper I have found so far.

Congratulations to all involved! It's fast, it's clean, it's beautiful!  :-*

One small question:
Shouldn't there be a link, in the Other Menu, to the Forge?
Now there are only links to the main site and the forums.

Nice one Zimba.

Might be a good idea to bring this Joomchampers to the virtual BBQ or the LinuxWorld Show in London next month. Many of the dev team will be there. It will be great to see you all in person.

The new release is great! I've already started migrating some clients over.

Anybody know if it will make it's way into Fantastico?

The link to the new forge is in the main Top menu marked "Developers" in between the "Forums" link and the "OSM" link.

Congratulations on the quick release of Joomla and I must say I like the changes. I wish you all the best of luch in the future as well!

I made a test installation as soon as I received the news, and am currently trying to upgrade from an older Mambo version.

Development on fixes for my component should hopefully start soon to make them all Joomla compliant.

Great work guys!

Don't forget to rename or delete you INSTALLATION FOLDER... you may not see the site until doing so... Very happy that I didn't get that ...erm.. unsightly.... big page that reminds you to deal with the installation folder....

I just rename mine by putting

OFF_ in front of the folder name.

This is SO COOL!!!!!!!!!

WELL DONE!!!!!

Thanks Slixter!
But, I actually meant a link in the new Joomla!1.0 program, not the Joomla! site!
My mistake, it was not clear...  :)

For your own sake, please edit your post to avoid any malicious person re-installing your site!
And better still, delete your install folder - if you need it again just upload it.

In the last CVS release of mambo it had a choice of databases, any reason this was left out the Joomla release?
