Currently the title of news stories isn't a hyperlink, rather just formatted text:
Example:

http://www.joomla.org/content/view/164/52/ (Direct link to article)
At present, there are two ways to find the url to a given piece of content:
1. Look for it in the "Latest News" module if it is recent
2. Hope that an article has a "Read more..." link
If the titles of any given published item were live links that would be helpful when referring other users. Thank you for considering this suggestion.
