Have problem with prayer request module - any ideas?

Post by DefileMetal » Sun Oct 15, 2006 1:25 pm

Greetings,

Having problems with the PrayerRequest module and it seems to me that they only began after the upgrade to the latest version 1.0.11

The problem is, when attempting to configure, get message  "(configuration file is NOT Writeable)"

In site global settings "configuration.php is writable" - check the component's customCfg.php file and it is 777

Soooooo, I can't reconfigure where the emails are sent - it is currently set at the default to send mail to the site administrator but no emails are sent to that address either - -

Any ideas would greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all for contributing to this wonderful support system

Have you tried to un-install and then re-install the component?

You probably don't have write access to the webserve root directory for the www user group

try logging in via ftp and cmod the files to 777

That is the write permissions on the folder location, most site cpanels have a folder or directory tool that will allow you to change the permissions on that folder. Don't be surprised if you have to change permissions on several folders.
