FAQ:
I want to turn off the "<< Start < Prev 1 2 Next > End >>" shown on the bottom of my front page (or other blog page). I tried to turn off navigation in the global configurations but it still shows.
Answer:
Item navigation is shown when you view an item of content, below it you will see next / previous, to allow you to navigate through items of content in that category.
The "<< Start < Prev 1 2 Next > End >>" is actually Pagination Results and navigation.
Say you set up the frontpage (or a blog page) parameters to show 6 articles in total (leading, intro, more links) if you have 10 articles flagged as "show on frontpage" then by default you get pagination. 6 articles show and you get page navigation underneath to allow you to navigate to the remaining articles in a "second frontpage"
To stop this, go to the menu->main menu ->e.g. home (or blog page)->parameters
and set pagination settings to HIDE.

Re: FAQ: Navigation set to "hide", but still shows
Is there a way to do a similar thing for content items linked under a Table-Content Category? (as opposed to a blog)
I switched the "Navigation Bar:" to hide on the Table-Content Category link (there is no "pagination settings" option) which turns off the "<< Start < Prev 1 2 Next > End >>" on the Table-Content Category page, but none of the subordinate pages. There are neither pagination nor navigation options for any of the content items.

The subordinate pages of a table - content category are items of content.
You must then be referring to content item navigation e.g.
Unfortunately, this is not an option on each menu item display. It must be controlled for the whole site in the global configuration.

sorry to post on such an old thread - but is it still true that we are not able to set page nav for individual content items (or sections/categories)?
if so i hope this feature will be enabled in a future release.
