They have had a problem with their website and it has been taken down. I'm very certain that it will be up and running soon again  :)

I will personally try to get in touch with Lee ASAP. However I'm sure his site will be back up soon.

Well, I wouldn't make that assumption. I had this happen to me last week, but because I had some exploits occurring due to out-of-date components and modules. It'll be back (I HOPE!, as I have not yet installed it, and I am dying to do so).

I was wondering what is going on.  Seems like the site has been offline for almost a week now.  Hope they get things straightened out.

I hope they are upgrading their software to work with 1.5!  They have some good products which were starting to get out of date with more hacks than a doctors waiting room.  Lee, hope to see you back soon with improved products and the same excellent customer service.

Mosets.com

Post by Paperinik » Wed Oct 25, 2006 9:42 am

Hi everybody!

Does anyone know what's going on at mosets.com? The site is suspended, and direct mails get no answer. I'm running Mosets Tree on my site, and would need the installation files to move from Mambo to Joomla (stupid me has mistakenly deleted my backup copy *banging head against the wall*).

Thanks and Greets
Michael

Thanks! I did search the forum prior to posting, but have somehow overlooked this thread. Sorry!  :-[

And good news regarding the Mosets site, too.

Good Sign! Standard Joomla "Site Down For Maintenance" notice instead of the shutdown notice. :)

Sorry if this is slightly off topic but I used to use Mosets tree, but have recently switched to another called jReviews.  Have any of you tried this?  I would be interested to know what others think of this compared to Mosets Tree.

I personally find jReviews to be more configurable and less restrictive.  The biggest feature over Mosets Tree has to be the ability to create more than one directory within the same site using the single component and be able to easily manage them all from the single backend administration of this component.  Plus also having the ability to add as many custom fields to each listing as you like, and the ability to fully customise each directory differently within the site using PatTemplate coding.

Other features I was drawn to include unlimited images on each items page and the ability to customise item review scoring criteria for each directory.

Again sorry if this is going off topic but I just wondered if anyone else has tried both Mosets Tree and jReviews and has some feedback comparing the two.
