Hi,

congratulations! Your project is a very important topic for Joomla!. We had the discussion on the german Mamboday 2005. There was no real conclusion. So i'm happy, that the core team has seen the need for that and found someone who can lead the project.

It would be interesting for me, how you want to create the guidelines for different approaches, for example components for professional users (security, performance, ...). I think it would be a good idea to combine the guidelines with the development documentation.

Greetings, Thomas

So now we have to chance to make those conclusions...

This will go hand in hand with the Documentationteam and also with the U&A Team, so this is only a part of a greater thinking, means all this Projects are  Parts to make Joomla! more professional for the future.

My first thought was: congratulations to us  8). Good third party components are essential yo Joomla. And like the coreteam, who invited him, I think Marko is the right man for the job. So Marko: good luck with you efforts and thanks!

Hi together.

Marko nice to have you in the CoreTeam!

On the following Website the German speaking people will find a translation of the news:

Thank you Marko for looking over it! And sorry about my 'Sales Mangager' mistake.... ;-)

Congrats Pred :)

Good to have some more talent on the team, where do you find the time?

Are you still planning on working on your components, openSEF, Vbridge and finishing the Commercial component you were going to make, or are you going to pass them over to someone else?

thnx
Paul

Only priorities have changed, now Joomla! will first than my private Project ( will work still on this to relax and for fun and for the community ) , for the vBridge i will only release currently the new versions, make them multidatabase able, and then we can talk about giving it maybe in other hands ( we have talk 3 month ago ) , but not sure yet.

OpenSEF will be for my private activity an priority for the future, to have a good open source alternative for the community and keep the good work of the Xaneonteam.

You are so right! I was just thinking the same thing yesterday.

Marko: You deserve Congrats! But, I think, most importantly, you deserve a big THANK YOU for agreeing to spend your time and talents to contribute such a vital role to the community that is Joomla!

Welcome Marko, great to have you join Joomla, I look forward to your contributions to the project.

Any set schedule for when you plan to release dev documentations, standards, etc?

Also, do you happen to currently have any resources / links you can post for us new to Mambo/Joomla and can't wait to get our hands into component/module/mambot development?

Thanks.
