Joomla download servers down

It seems to me that the Joomla download servers at forge.joomla.org are down. If i try to download the latest stable version I am unable to access the downloads page, it is not responding.

Any ideas why this is happening, I tried accessing it from another computer on another ISP and I cannot.

It would seem the Joomla Forge has been down most of the afternoon (UK time)... not sure who to contact.... http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,120041.0.html

I was just able to access the Joomla downloads section, the webpage took over 10 minutes to load. I think they are having too much traffic to handle.

As of the time of this post I'm having problems accessing the forge. It keeps trying to load, but it has been over three minutes for a single page. It hasn't timed out yet, but I'm still trying.

Same here. Why does it always happen when you REALLY don't need it to?? Have there been any official responses?

Yep its very slow to respond. Something is wrong.
Trying to download from it without success.

No luck here all day either...

EDIT: Just downloaded latest package, seems to be working fine now.
